Christ that was a difficult watch. Slow and turgid, no cutting edge and nearly done on the break.

It was the sort of game where the hordes of naysayers re women's football have a point. That kind of game, televised in the hope of Villa upsetting the apple cart, is not gonna fill football stadia.

A first half of endless possession that went nowhere, didn't really test their keeper at all. Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass up the chance to shoot, pass, pass.......

Second half was better whilst still not setting the world alight. I have to say when you watch Miedema she is a class apart really, skill and thought, movement. Well her and Hasegawa.
I was disappointed Park didn't run forward a bit more and take the full back on like Fowler did on the other side.
Tough few games coming up now.

They'd be mad to put it in the Etihad based on today's turnout. You'd barely know the city fans were there, so quiet. PMSL at the Villa fans singing "is this a library."

Seriously though, sad to see the attendances dropping off, a Sunny Sunday lunchtime match (even a cup game) should have a better turn out than today.

Also what's with moving the away fans to the opposite corner? Seems odd,.you'd have thought there'd be season tickets holders on the cup scheme sat there, or did they shift them?

Yep, that’s why I was asking. The recent league derby at the Etihad wasn’t a great experience on the pitch, but we’ve switched keepers since then. Being there allows more in, and a full lower tier would create a decent atmosphere.
