What a surprise, Sepp Blatter is a liar.

Seems, despite saying in 2011 (when he was elected in a 1 horse race) that he would not seek re-election in 2015, Blatter has now decided his "mission" (presumably to make more money and cling on to power until he dies in office) is not complete and he will indeed seek re-election in 2 years time. Oh, and an extra little nugget, he wants to get a vote through before then to increase the presidents term from 8 years to 4 years, thus ensuring his position as head of FIFA for the next decade. If it wasn't so obviously corrupt, devisive and detrimental to football as a whole, it would be amusing.

Perhaps he wants to cover the timeslot that takes in the Qatar WC!
Is the correct answer. Just so he can stop the meddling from countries that might want to put the Qatari investment at risk.

Didn't he arrange a vote that changed the rules to allow him to be re-elected a few times ago ? Introduced a whole range of new counties elligible to vote but who he could keep in his back pocket and out-vote the main contenders and the big leagues ? Barbados or Kuwait had equal voting rights as England or Spain or something like that ? It was quite a while ago now. Must be a good 15-20 years ago. Previously, re-election wasn't possible.

He's more corrupt than just about any chief in any form of sport. He's like a white collared legit version of Don King. Crooked as Steve Bruce's nose.

After tonight's racist chants and a hooligan element of Russian football I do hope that the Russian bid gets looked into as well. I would not put it passed Putin to stack a few bundles in a swiss bank.

I think there is some trouble behind the scenes between Platini and Blatter too. Platinis plans of expanding the Euro's has angered Blatter apparently.

Electioneering already.

Promising to increase African teams in world cups at the expense of Europe and south america. Think that shows the politics of FIFA up perfectly.
