might sound like a daft question,
bear with me...

mods, maybe bung this over into the general footy forum,
but i've put it in here because of today's proceedings.

some people in the "alleged breach" are saying we are done as a club if we lose.
others are saying we, the supporters, are the club.
it got me thinking...

what exactly is manchester city football club?

is it the supporters?
is it the owners?
is it the team?
is it the brand?

all of those things change over time.
is it something else?
nothing is constant.
what defines a football club?

yeah, similar to my question that I put in another thread: "what does it mean loyal to a club?" (I don't remember exactly the thread name), does it mean loyal to the owner? or the the players? or the managers? or just the (brand) name? or the stadium? or the location? the land?

Anyway, everyone told me a wum when I asked that.
So good luck, man! Good question, btw.

The club would fold all right, but that doesn’t actually mean the fans are the club

Fans talk to each other they are the heart of any club whatever the size, let's say we went out of business, our fanbase is big enough to make another club big enough to shoot through the leagues.

Fans first for me mate, front and center always before everything.

Well it's a business so it's a mixture of everything that leads to 'value' and output.
