What are the chances?

Its one for the Council but the Maine Road pub sits nicely on there
so i wouldn`t think its out of the question.

Me & my mates also find it hard to refer to the new ground as anything other than
Maine Road.

By the way i took one of my daughters down Maine Road the other day
she couldn`t understand the significance but i was getting misty eyed when
we turned the corner of Claremont and the sight we all used to see that filled us with
pride was now a buidling site, all the other streets looked the same but the pubs we used to fill are either closed down or desperatley quiet.

I do miss the old place!!

Apparently so. My aunt's deputy head at the primary school which backed onto the ground (st edwards or something) and apparently the roads on the site will have City related names chosen by the kids at the school, which is a nice touch.
She actually gave me a book with pictures of Maine Road in its final days, demolition etc at Christmas.

I've put a deposit down on a flat on Gerry Creaney Mews.
