What are you doing this Christmas?, I go away every year usually to Tenerife. this year I am breaking with tradition and going to Lanzarote, have never been there before only to the other islands, have any other fans been ?, and are any of you going away yourselves this Christmas, I like the winter sun breaks up the winter full stop, I come home reinvigorated nice tan for new years eve.

Anyway if anyone is going I will be in the Faro Park area from the 13th until the 28th,maybe meet for a pint

I cant imagine going abroad over christmas, I suppose its all down to what your used to though. Places like Lanzarote/Tenerife busy over the christmas week then?

I can honestly say, of all the places in the world I have been, there are just two I would be happy never to return to. One was Los Angeles, the other is Lanzagrote. Sorry.
Don't blame you going away for Christmas though, tempting. Going to Florida Keys/Everglades and Miami in January for some sunshine meself.

Not to bad, weather gets in to the mid 70s,a bit cooler at night, the bars are not heaving plenty of places to get a pint for a euro.

Like I said I usually go Tenerife there’s a nice bar called the blue terrace in los christianos ,shows every match live the owner is a big city fan, euro a pint what more do you want

Is it that bad?,like I said never been ,a least I have a villa with a heated pool and full satellite TV to cheer me up.

More down to the missus this change of scenery.

Going to be minus -10 here in Manchester this weekend brrrrrrrrrrr

Any places to look out for ?

After refusing to go anywhere near England in December for six straight years, I'm returning home for the second Christmas in a row this year and can't wait.

Had a straight choice between Thailand to see my friends and England to see my family. For the first time ever, my gut instinct was to head back to the motherland despite having already been back for a couple of weeks in October.

I think I might finally be growing up!

Spanking money I haven't got on gifts people don't want, probably.

That, as well as eating far too much, drinking not enough (too many adults around) and being extremely polite and smilie with elderly relatives.

4 weeks in Hawaii, staying at the.......................I wish, it's really 4 days in Barnsley, staying with my daughter. Still looking forward to it though.

I've been to Lanzarote - it was v nice (much preferred it to Fuerteventura) get ye'self to the old fishing harbour in Costa Teguise - there are some great restaurants there

Dannyb, don't know if your location is a coincidence, it's a line from a Pogues song and we will be going to see the boys again on the 13th. Thats the start of Christmas for me. Back to the subject, nothing spectacular. Christmas day morning get the turkey in the oven and go for a 2 - 3 hr walk, hope it isn't raining. Think Christmas is at mine this time and not the girlfriends but I'll be doing the cooking anyway. Normally a couple of cans and a bottle of wine later it will be ready or all over the floor hahaha.

2 places I would never go back to and also add to that Palm Springs.

As for Lanzarote, went there in January 1 year, the weather was ok, but windy and my view of the place may be hindered by the fact the apartments we were in were shite, me and the wife both got food poisoning and the family next to us were a bunch of weirdos from Yorkshire
