A brew. It used to taste like piss - until I became educated via the BM brew thread :-)

That was my Dad's staple drink, he said it was a great whisky for the price!
I'm on theakstons old peculiar at the moment, thank you HIC!

Wife works for ASDA and with her 10% discount I get a litre of the stuff for £15.30, but like you say at £17 for a litre it's great value for money.

I once had an unpleasant experience with Theakstons Old Peculiar way back in the 1980's after we'd come back from a works fishing trip to Bridlington.

It ended up with me falling through someones hedge, and then after an age of managing to free myself from the triffids that had closed in around me, I then fell into some roadworks where the road had been dug up by the gas board. Not touched it since, lol!! Boy I was ill that night!!
