Yes well it's my birthday tommorow and am entering my 59th year on Mother Earth and so I am preparing by lining my tripe with suitable attire.
The day will be filled with fun mirth and merryment as we follow our cunning plan of action.

We are to venture out on the real ale twats trail by taking the train north from Roccadale into the Calder Hills and beyond.
Originally we planned A Bridge Too Far aiming for Batley so re-appraised with a new cut of point of Sowerby Bridge calling at all stations.
The day will be finalised by a splendid three course curry meal with nan and then back home to our retirement condo in the shires.

My drink of choice tonight is a very special concoction called Old Crafty Hen.
You dont drink it but more chew it at 6.5 % but the taste is incredible and lingers on the palate.
Tesco have it on offer @three for £5 which is excellent value.
Unless you are time served I would leave the session @ 6 bottles as it has the power to anethatize your limbs.
It's dark it's Malty and It's good old Oak Aged Vintage and made by the Morland brewing company.
Give it a go and it will make you proper grin ..

Thank you to all for the many birthday greetings in advance.
Being borderline narcistic I shall remind you all again in the morning.
That is all for now and Prost !

Happy birthday for tmrw you old fart.

Currently supping Adnams Ghost Ship, completely wasted (like me) on southerners ; )

uncannily, having visited your beloved rochedale today,
on the way home i had a sudden urge to buy crafty hens.

i have genuinely got a bockle,
not my first of course,
in my hand
and am wishing you felicitations in advance of the morrow.

bon voyage.

Thanks for your kind pm messages @imaproperblue1894 and an honour to share a gill of real ale with you.
Here is the song you asked for.

Estrella 3 for £5.25 at tesco absolutely fantastic foreign beer all the way for me from now on the shit we get over here hammered with chemicals just make's u ill. These foreign beers don't even give u hangover others I like steinhauser £4 for 6 bottles at aldi a proper bed time drink if ice cold nice and crisp not gassy and strong enough to give u a good nights kip. Also like the asahi Japanese beer again got to be served ice cold but a beautiful clean crisp drink bit dry but OK if your only having a couple before the bed time German beer.

Calum mate it's mighty fine stuff and has the propensity to put hairs on your chest.
The balance is incredible and these people from Morland know their stuff.
You do not have to walk around with a distended stomach full of fizzy Carling to feel merry.
It's all about quality not quantity.
Prost pal !

Am usually a beer or whisky man but occasionally am partial to a chilled dry sherry.

Am currently imbibing a schooner of Sainsbury's own brand Manzanilla. Nice.

You can dance like this if you sup The Crafty Hen.
ScoobyDoo @4.09 owns the floor.

Happy daze for tomorrow Taxi, it's mine on Friday when I am in receipt of my huge £2.000 pension, so will raise a pint of Hobgoblin in your honour.

You only get £2,000 pension ?

Not to worry pal because us Librians have to stick together and we would never see you troubled with chapped lip syndrome.
Come with us tommorow on our Long Train Running because without love where would you be now ?.

It's getting close now.I was born unto this world at 00.59 on the 5th october 1959.
A sickly child by all accounts but I think I got better because I try always to please.

I hope my new forum pal Jazzcat can make the journey with us tommorow to the Calderdale frontiers.
Your more than welcome pal even if you do have absurd political views.
Pm me for meet up times our kid:
Seriously !

Thanks for the offer, I do appreciate it but I happen to live in the land of the other ginger prince, Belgium.
Happy birthday anyways!

Bless you pal and our first drink tommorow will be on you.
