What "Classic" songs do you hate with a passion?

Anything by Simply Red.
Toploader: Dancing in the Moonlight.
The Kooks: She Moves in Her Own Way. It's the definitive example of "landfill indie".

Thanks to everyone who picked Bohemian Rhapsody and Bat Out Of Hell. Not sure if it qualifies as a classic but Walk Of Life by Dire Straits never failed to piss me off. Especially at wedding discos watching the rhythmically challenged trying to wrap their limbs around that opening keyboard dirge.

Just had another couple on the radio that I despise

Thorn in my side - Eurythmics
I don't want to miss a thing - Aerosmith

Absolute shite
Thorn in my Side isn’t a favourite of mine but it reminds me of a friend of one of my sister’s. Her friend‘s name is Helen and she had a brother who was an alcoholic by the time he was in his thirties. She adored him when they were children as he was her only sibling. That is the song Helen says represents the legacy of their relationship due to his problem with drink. It is so sad. I will never forget the description of his flat when Helen went to clear it after he passed away.

Shout by Lulu
Yes, yes, and yes a fuckin gain.

As a young lad that was the only version I knew but I knew it was shite. Then I heard the original version, done properly, done with soul, done with passion and funny enough the one thing it didn't do, are you LISTENING Lu fuckin' Lu is SHOUT.
