What determines who you support in Manchester? Is it a geographical thing?

I was wondering what are the factors that decide who you support. Up here it's clearly on religious grounds, which nobody should want, but I've never heard what is it that determines if you're a Blue or a Red.

    Enlighten me oh Blues.

Probably more city fans to the east of the city and rags to the west but it's not that noticeable. There was a survey a while ago that showed this.

  6. ****s support the rags. The cool/good looking/non-sheep support City.

When at school, (40 years ago now)the more intelligent kids were City fans. The dick heads who all turned into druggies and burgers were utd supporters

Salford and north manchester are more rags I would say. South Manchester, east Manchester more city. Generally if you are a twat you support them.
