What did `Arry have to say about City today?

He moaned about the bad pre-season due to uncertainty over his players (Modric) no excuses really...his pre match hype about City came true...
 
basically blamed it on his player(s) and not having their futures sorted. Weren't in the frame of mind to play and their pre-season was poor. Didn't really take any blame.
 
"Man City were triffic you know, but we cannot compete with the likes of them, Man United and Chelsea, people forget that when i first came here we had 2 points from 8 games and this has been one of the worst pre-season's of my footballing career, you know Luca wants to go, then he wants to stay, other clubs talking about him publicly, it's been one big distraction. When asked on if he planned to bring any players in before the transfer window ended, he commented "I like Bellamy, he's a triffic player, but i've left that to the chairman, the thing is though is you don't know if Man City are going to come in and blow us out of the water with a bid for the lad, but i like him, he's triffic, Diarra as well, he's another triffic player but you know it's up to the chairman. Scott Parker? Yeah i like Scotty he's another triffic player but i don't know what's going on there, it's up to the chairman but he is another player i like" When asked did he get his tactics right against City he responded "I thought a midfield of Lennon-Krancjar-Modric and Bale with Rafa coming deep could cope with Silva, Aguero, Nasri and Dzeko, the way Man City set up with two defensive midfielders is not the way i want to manage, i'm an old fashioned working class boy and i believe in giving the public something to remember and i thought we played the long ball to Crouchy to knock down for one of our triffic players worked wonders last year and got us plenty of plaudits on how attractive we were"
