what did people REALLY think of the atmosphere

I thought it was a typical ultra-nervous derby day atmosphere where:

* before the game everyone is bang up for it and the atmosphere is amazing
* then as soon as the game kicks of we start shitting ourselves praying for a goal hence we're quiet
* then the scum score and we start thinking "shit here we go again"
* Tevez pen and it picks up a bit with some optimism
* 2-1 City great for 5 mins then back to quietly shitting ourselves praying for another or the final whistle!
* final whistle and massive sigh of relief and commence ripping those cockney, rag scum-sucking fuckwits apart!!!!

I like most City fans I imagine fookin hate derby day till its over and we win and I think it always reflects in the atmosphere!

That's my take anyway ............ ;-)

i was doing my nut last night - someone said is the atmosphere gonna be as good as hamburg... i said no because the south stand had to move

whats the story with £40 tickets ?

if utd wanted to charge 40 and city 20 maybe we should have stood our ground - gone public with it and forced the issue on lower prices so that regular fans could go

as i see it, the ticket sales were slow, some normal season ticket holders probably felt it was a dear do at christmas time and blue mates or family members used their tickets - this must of happened because for me, at the top of 122 no-one sang anything

i ended up moving to 121 half way through the 2nd half and it took off a bit then but we were 2-1 up then , at 0-1 i was going out of my brain...

on the concourse it was a brilliant atmosphere but then inside no chants no songs, even 111 was a bit quiet, compared to the arsenal q/f

we need our own end for these cup games, its ridiculous

does anyone feel the same ? or like on the official website did they think it was a "brilliant atmosphere"

I started in 104, but moved round to 110 after 35 minutes as the atmosphere was crap.

Wasn't anywhere near as good as Hamburg. Seemed like the crowd were getting more and more frustrated in the opening 20-30mins. After that it picked up....but could still have been better !

it was crap to be honest but team did start very poor, wait till next week at the swamp thats when we will make our voises heard big time, they will shit next week we will be loud bring it on

spot on, that's exactly how I feel

Rags outsang us big time until we scored then they shut up. That's what happens when you surrender you're biggest stand of singers evry cup game and hand it to the opposition. 111 looked like they were singing but we couldn't hear them in 122, whereas we were a mish mash of peeps some from south stand some from elsewhere all not making very much noise

my ST is in 111, but couldn't afford to go to the match...been out of work for 2 months now

spotted ricsters "cocks" doing the rounds in 110/111 on TV, it looked good fun in that area of the ground but for some reason it didn't seem as good as the hamburg game, but then again i was at the hamburg game

Think it was the tension. Already getting beat before we kicked a ball against hamburg, so nothing to lose, and making the most of it was the only option.

Good in 111, but was suprised at the red's, cos they were much louder than usual. Last year they were the worst all season.
