What did you think of the ticker tape ?

if you're asking someone who HAD to watch on t.v..... never saw it so cant form an opinion.
i'm sure it looked great if you were there in the flesh, but unfortunately sky sports cameras dint focus on it.
they followed the players from the tunnel on one of those hand-held steady cam things, then floated around behind them focusing on the players backs looking back towards the tunnel, the adverts kicked in, then we was returned to the action of groundstaff 'hoovering' up the mess.
i'm pretty sure the press (inc SS) got wind of the planned tickertape reception, you would think they might have made an effort to show to the viewing audience.

It looked good around the north end of the east stand and from parts of the north stand. Would look better if the club organised it and handed it out to everyone in tiers 2+3 so it went all the way around the ground.

It looked brilliant...

..The only downside was that Neville didn't choke on a piece and breath his last.

didnt look like there was enough handed out or that it was particularly well co-ordinated tbh. prob didnt help that people started chucking it well before kick off.

however, was funny watchingthe wind blow it into where the united fans where standing before kick off and them all going ape.

To be honest I don't think it looked that good as there wasn't enough of it, maybe my expectations were too high, but fair play to the lad who organised it, it was a decent effort.

I thought it looked amazing!!

maybe it was just where I sit (i mean stand) in 111, but it seemed like there was loads of it

I think it was a good effort, could of been better, but it was a lot better than i thought it would be

-- Sat Apr 17, 2010 4:48 pm --

I thought it looked amazing!!

By the time the players arrived it had all dispersed. Other than that it was a good effort. Get more of it around the stadium and it will be stunning.

looked ok on tv but was made to look a nuisance by the sky cameras who focused moreso on the cleaning up efforts with mobile hoovers before the whistle

to be honest i was really disappointed ...

i was hoping for sheets of the stuff ala argentina style

still we managed to create a right mess around us in the north stand

-- Sat Apr 17, 2010 6:47 pm --

to be honest i was really disappointed ...

I was working at the match, so couldn't get involved in the throwing of the ticker tape - but it did look good from where I was (Directors box area). It was just a shame that it didn't all go off at the same time. Good work though - to all involved
