Agree with Giggs. He was a good winger, not great. it's only his longevity that gets him mentions alongside genuinely great players. I'd add Ferdinand, had 2 seasons at the top as part of the best defensive partnership around then lived off that for the rest of his career and is somehow argued as the best defender in the Premier league era. No chance. Tom Zinedine cleverley of course, and away from United, pirlo. He got about the amount of praise he deserved for most of his career and then in his final few years the football hipsters, the ones who like to pretend to see things nobody else does jumped on the pirlo bandwagon after a few good displays and he suddenly turned into a footballing god
