What footballing legends do you feel are overrated?

Agree with Giggs. He was a good winger, not great. it's only his longevity that gets him mentions alongside genuinely great players. I'd add Ferdinand, had 2 seasons at the top as part of the best defensive partnership around then lived off that for the rest of his career and is somehow argued as the best defender in the Premier league era. No chance. Tom Zinedine cleverley of course, and away from United, pirlo. He got about the amount of praise he deserved for most of his career and then in his final few years the football hipsters, the ones who like to pretend to see things nobody else does jumped on the pirlo bandwagon after a few good displays and he suddenly turned into a footballing god

Michael Carrick has the word "legend" attached to all his highest ranked google searches, so it must be true.

Now certifying his status as a member of Gollum's "brains trust"

Why do you think they are overated, giggs was a brilliant winger (spit) and Zidane was a brilliant midfielder
Zidane was brilliant yes but I only remember him for two moments other then consistent years of delivering (my opinion)
