a guy got caught for havin a cig by a steward and the fans started fighting the steward i heard .

about 40 blokes in loos having crafty fags...2 stewards walk in and grab hold of young lad having a fag....all the blokes kick off with the stewards, made worse by the fact that both stewards were scousers.

There is a very simple solution for this and the sooner it is implemented the better for all blues, have a coumpound for smokers to go to at half time for a smoke.
If Derby County can do it for away fans, why not City?
the result would be that people that are addicted to the weed can indulge in their habit away from those that dont want to reek of second hand smoke and all are happy.
(remember the fence that used to be put up at the back of the North Stand at Maine Road? how hard would it be to replicate something like that at 4 points on the lower tier?)

just everyone in the bogs having a cig and sec come in and just take one lad and everyone kicked off plus one of the sec was a bin dipper, it was a laugh (in a nice way coz no one got hurt) the chants were great even the sec were laughing

Didnt see this but my dad told me that there was some smokers in the toilets then this black steward came in and tried taking a fag out of someones mouth and then the blokes kicked the fuck out of him and were calling him a m*nich and then he had to be dragged out by the police for his safety.
to be honest you are always gunna have people that smoke at games and it was stupid of the steward to go in there

I used to be a 20-a-day smoker, I managed to watch the footy without gasping for a cigarette.
I regularly managed to go on 7hr flights without a cigarette, people smoking is their choice but smoking at a football match is damn right ignorant and disrespectful towards the majority of us who don't smoke and want to go to the toilet.
Can't you just wait 1hr and 45mins ? yes you can, I know this because i used to wait.
its Nicotine, not Heroin.

NO, it was and is stupid for the club and the council to think that in a crowd of 45+ thousand there are not going to be people mhat will want - need a smoke at a match.
How easy would it be to have a smoking compound for those that must smoke leaving the other areas free from smoke for those that dont wish to breathe in the fumes?
With CCTV some loyal Blues will now find themselves banned or facing assault charges for attacking a member of MCFC staff (& rightly so) but it could so easily have been avoided.
