Luton for me
Rooney's shin goal. I know there are moments that are worse than that, but for myself, it was a dagger in the heart.
Suffered all the way through the nineties but for some awful reason it's Elano's free kick hitting the lower side of the post against Hamburg. We'd never have beaten the Shaktar team that season but I'd convinced myself we were going to win the comp and was heartbroken.
On the bright side, Hamburg just got relegated.
Ricky Villa....I still can't watch it.
Getting arrested in London missing my lift home not having enough money to get home and having to hitch it standing on service stations all day that was a shitter
I have two.
Sam Ellis laughing on the bench while we were getting knocked out of the fa cup at home to spurs.
At the swamp Michael Owen last min winning goal knocking us out of the cup.
But am enjoying the ride now.
Hard to narrow it down:
Lots of nasty away games all over the country in the 70s, 80s and 98-99 at Millwall.
Cup defeats at Bury and Halifax.
Several relegations; Luton probably the worst. Stoke less so as we did all we could on the day.
Ricky fucking Villa in 81 and losing to Wolves at Wembley in 74.
Not grinding the rags into the dust a few weeks ago.
There are so many to choose from but one incident still rankles with me is the derby game when keane smashed into haaland and all our players stood around like guppy fish. Not one player confronted the pikey. Maybe it says a lot about how players felt about haaland but embarrassing from our players
Why do this again, we are centurions enjoy it.
