I think mata has overtaken him but maybe silva will be better this season.
Mata is the poor man's Silva! Mata has shone this season because CFC's strikers have put the chances away and the little CFC fellah has chipped in with some match winning performances. Once we have strikers who start shooting live ammo he will be top of the pops. I thought all the way through the Norwich match until he came on "Please put Silva on!" And when he came on it was obvious he was the only creative element on the pitch. He can change things in a twinkle!

Well most of them really...Must have been the manager. Let's see what next season brings. Last seasons gone, done and dusted. We move on, every player will have a clean slate and hopefully that will be the spark again.

The thing is, last season from summer to the winter break, Silva was absolutely amazing. At that point, he was one of the five best players in the world, putting in more impressive performances than Iniesta for example. But that was for about three months only.
Having watched him quite a lot at Valencia, I had never seen such a display of form, and we haven't seen anything remotely as good since then. So was it a one-time short period raise in quality, or could we expect to see that again?
I hope the arrival of Pellegrini will mean Silva gets a boost. We need him at his best.

I wouldn't worry about anyone's form for now. 90+% of players played well within themselves last season but we've got a new manager now and it's a fresh start for everyone
