What has to happen for us to be awarded a penalty?

Two minutes after technology is installed to cover penalties, goals and sendings off, we will hear from PiGMOL that they have been agitating and campaigning for the very thing for years!!

haha yeah, why wont they implement it though? because it would introduce fairness and they don't want that do they? No wonder everyone thinks its bent as fuck it all points to corruption

Jeff Stelling and Charlie Nicolas hang your head in shame , seen the soccer special footage from them last night conviced the ref was right. The only thing is right is that they're a right pair of pricks

Stelling hates City and Nicolas is a gooner who is therefore desperate for city to fail. No surprises they went with the incompetent refs view

The title of this thread brought some top drawer imagery to mind of a goalkeeper drawing a pistol and emptying the clip into an advancing Sterling... Raheem drops dead, blood everywhere, ball rolls into touch and the ref points for a goalkick hahaha

Seriously though, what's that 4 stonewall pens in the last 5 games not given? It's fucking disgraceful. I'm not quite sure how the football world gets away with brushing this under the carpet. I refuse to accept the 'it all evens itself out' adage. This is just too extreme.

The whole ground was holding it's breath waiting on the biggest ref decision in the whole game and......he had already awarded a goal kick. ...he was THAT sure instantly ????....Stevie Wonder should Ref the cup semi second leg ....

He fuckin gave the goal kick and absolutely sprinted back to the half way line. ****!

Yes we should always try to win fair and square but after the spud incident and yesterday ,it is obvious .Crystal fucking clear to see for those who are still on the fence .

Money, power and influence has a way to getting what it wants. They key thing to understand is that when large piles of money are to be made sharks are going to stirr, but even more importantly that Manchester city's owners benifit few in England. A lot of money goes trough City and away from England, rather than it would make the rich and powerfull in England even more rich and powerfull. That makes it easy to generate dislike for City among the English football elite, for they are not into much of a piece of this pie. Sports federations are ever so often corrupt when there is lots of money involved and hardly any transparency or accountabillety, and the media in England is pretty much tied to various interrests and agenda's too. And as long as the English football fans are willing to fork out ever more hefty prices for tickets and whatnot and read into the media then various backhand tricks will still be able to yield millions.

I work in IT and have lost most naivity seeing just how much corperate espionage is going around. Having years of experience on the stock markets ive pretty much seen all sorts of strategic moves trough backhand mechanics and media moves to leverage prices. To think that bussiness by nature wants to work by fair rules is truly naive, indeed it's always in the interrest of private bussiness to maximize gain regardless of how it might affect others providing they can get away with it.

Afaik when Sheik Mansour bought this club he bought it for a 100 to 200 million and then he dropped in about the same amount to make it a better team. Nowadays the club is worth over a billion. Foreign investers around the world could get the idea that investing in English top footbal clubs can be highly lucrative yet there will be only so much or few even willing to sell especially if it's not at the "right price". Value can be brought down though, football clubs are not so sensitive to this as stocks but a string of poor performance's sure can mean quite a bit in monetary terms.

Intristicly i cannot fanthom that the price of buying up a ref would be so high in comparison to the huge sums that float around this league. The only thing that is of consideration then is what can be gotten away with, or, when shit hits the fan wether they can make a unimportant fish fry for it. The key then is the power structure of a likely easily corruptable football association, ref decissions along this nature can always be questionable but if you can get The Fa on youre side then there not much difficulty to foul play along this nature. Add in sports betting interrests that have grown a lot too and you can make some easy corruption pay up bigtime. Am i'm saying that this is 100% sure the case, perhaps not, but i wouldn't be surprized at all.

I can't get over how this wasn't a pen.

What's starting to do my head in with this sport as well (well, as well as about fifty other things!) is why is there no linesmen up both sides of the line from top to bottom? In rugby, the line is judged from one end to the other on both sides yet in football I you're a left winger/right back the linesmen is fucking miles away from the action. So if you're impeded and the ref is incompetent you're bollocksed if you'll get the right decision, it's a lottery between shit refs and linesmen having superhuman vision.
