Not sure I agree re 9/11. That was largely down to inter-agency failings in the US and the FBI / CIA not sharing info I think. Clinton apparently had about 8 opportunities in the 90's to pull the trigger on bin-Laden, but the US was doing a big military hardware deal with the Saudis at the time.....It was around 500 votes over the whole state. IMO if Gore had won 9/11 never would have happened. All deaths that day and the hundreds of thousands that ensued would have been avoided.
They had intel that we were going to be attacked but W and Condoleeza Rice ignored it because they thought Russia was the bigger threat.
