Fat Sam is correct, Blackburn cannot afford to have someone sat on his arse on xx grand a week injured (like RSC) last year. They need all hands on deck for a tought season fighting relegation. The big clubs with big squads can take a chance with Owen as they rotate regulary anyway. Different priorities require different approaches.
