But up front, you have to understand what you are getting into - the analogy to have a child is not far off

It's just a mastiff.
I have a English mastiff/St Bernard cross, it is literally the biggest wimp you'll ever see. Crop her ears and she'd look the same in black, but they're not an aggressive breed, no mastiff is. If you want an aggressive mastiff you have to treat it with borderline abuse to make it that way. It's just not in their temperament

Low maintenance but can end up having lots of health problems so we were told. That said had him 18 month not been to the vet for anything except his jabs. 3 or 4 15 minute walks a day or 20 mins in the garden if its pissing down (his choice). In all the pets I have had he has the closest to human characteristics I have encountered.

Borador, Lab and border collie mix. I have one he is amazing, really friendly with everyone and reasonably smare. Needs a lot of exercise tho
