What must we do to attain CL club status?

Thought RM took over after 17 games 29 points which makes his record played 15, 30 points, but maybe i am wrong. If pool got 68 they would have a great run in and if spuds get 69 them to so its 70 for 4th for me possibly 69 if we can improve our goal difference

Yes it was good of Rammy Blue to be 'alert'. Thank Rammy too.

The actual stats for Mancini is 2.00 pts/match and MH was 1.71 pts/match.

If Mancini is true to form we will get to 71 pts; and theres no chance (unless chicken groweth teeth) for Liverpool if we get 12pts for our remaining 6 matches and beating Spuds on the way!

I was saying for weeks that we need 71 points, but a week or so back I downgraded that to 69/70. But after last weekend's tremendous result by Sunderland, I am dropping it even further.

PROVIDING we beat Spurs at home, I think 68 points will be enough. Here's why:

If we can win 3 games, we are on 68.

Liverpool will surely lose to Chelsea away, so the MOST they can get is 67 if they win every other game.

I don't see Spurs coming out of Arsenal / Chelsea / Man U with more than 1 point. All of those teams are still in the title race and will be going all out to beat Spurs and they will do so. That means if we beat Spurs, even if they win at Bolton and Burnley, they will finish on maximum 65. We could even lose to them and still clinch 4th if our GD is better than theirs, which I expect it will be by then.

Villa need to win 4 and draw 2 to get 68 points, but their GD is not going to catch ours. They aren't going to win 5 and draw 1 when you look at their fixture list. They have us to play away and they have Birmingham and Everton as well. They aren't going to win every game.

We are in the chair, lads! :-)

Liverpool have Chelsea at home mate, still think personally we will need 70.

Excellent points!
It will be nice to have 2 or 3 pts for 'comfort zone'. The key here is beating Spuds!

Lets just take one game at a time and let the rest take care of itself.

Lets just beat Birmingham then move onto the derby etc etc.

Sorry, my bad. Of course they do. Still I expect Chelsea will beat them.

I actually think we will finish on 72, 5 points clear :-)

Spuds would need 6 points from Arse/Chelsea/Manu to get 70. Never going to happen.

Liverpool would need to win every game. Never going to happen.

Villa would need 5 wins and a draw. Nope.

I am sure 68 is enough PROVIDING we beat Spurs!
