Well today we got what the team deserved! Certainly not the fans! Every year since 1981, I dream about going back to Wembley only to be bitterly disappointed when we usually go out meekly to lower division team. These teams seem to have something we always seem to lack: Heart and Desire! Well the same again today! That’s why I suggested a younger hungry team (to rest key players as well), and got shot down;
Schmeichel,
Zabaleta, Dunne, TBH, Ball,
Weiss, Kompany, Clayton, Garrido
Evans, Sturridge Subs Hart, Logan, Hamann, Fernandes, Elano, Caicedo and Jo
As well as Heart and Desire! We need balance! Where was our left sided midfielder today!
Now we have the delight of Vassell playing right winger with SWP being out for a few weeks! We do have Weiss who is a natural for the position but Hughes does not think he is good enough!
What would I do you might ask?
Ball – sell
Dunne - sell
Richards – give him a kick up the backside and make him Captain!
Fernandes – sell
Hamamn- retire to coaching staff
Caicedo- send out on loan
Vassell- free transfer please!
Elano – send out on loan abroad, don’t sell him that will piss him off! Or give him a really good kick up the bum!
Buy proven players to fill the gaps we have and give some youngsters a try!
