I'm not talking about anything obviously racist and such, by the way.

So, I was in the mood to revisit some old stuff and thought I'd bang on 'Me, Myself and Irene', which I'd only ever seen once before and had some really vague recollection of it. But, you know, I thought nowt wrong with watching Jim Carrey in his absolute top form.

So, anyway, many of you will recall the scene where he sees the breastfeeding mother on the park bench...

Mind you, I'd not recalled the event, but it was the physicality of the practical humour that made me think 'What the Actual Fuck?!!!'!

It's a fucking funny 5 second scene, but in today's context, there's no fucking way it would get past any censors!

Father Ted episode comes with 'trigger warning' on Channel 4 streaming service

Channel 4's streaming service has placed a warning before the 1998 episode, Are You Right There, Father Ted?

Father Ted now comes with a trigger warning.

"Channel 4's streaming service has placed a guidance note before the 1998 episode, Are You Right There, Father Ted?

The episode includes a sequence where Father Ted, played by Dermot Morgan, appears to mock Chinese people by wearing a lampshade on his head.

Later in the episode the priest looks like Hitler thanks to some furious arm gestures and a perfect square of dirt on the window.

The misunderstanding sees Ted spend the rest of the episode trying to convince people in his Craggy Island parish he was not “a bit of a racist”.

However, the plot point was found to be potentially offensive by Channel 4’s streaming service, with a note to viewers reading: “This episode was made in 1998 and contains language and racial impersonation which some viewers may find offensive.”

As a Black guy, that's one of my favourite ever episodes of 'Father Ted'!! I cry with laughter (and it's hard to make me laugh with TV comedy) The whole point is the snowballing of misunderstanding!!

That's seriously fucked!!

If it’s what I think that scenes is there are similar scenes in the boys.
