It already had an animated version so there was probably broad appeal, and the bullet time crosses over to contemporary dance.

I guess it also would also have commercial appeal like the Lion King or Matilda Musicals.

I’m not really a fan of musicals in general, so will probably give it a miss, unless it’s shown on TV during an international break…

Musical my arse!
I went to this afternoon’s performance.
It was an absolute triumph.
Brilliant choreography, terrific set design and costumes, effective soundtrack. It is a dance spectacular, not a musical. There is not a song in it.

First half was in the theatre. Second half in the warehouse with cast in and around the audience.
Danny Boyles direction has made a masterpiece.
The white rabbit was to lead people to the warehouse.
One of the best things I’ve seen in a long, long time.
