What was your first 'proper' job & how long did you last?

Barmen at the Atlantis suite, Manchester airport, just turned 16

2hrs of an 8hr shift- 1st day

Was a farmers function, I detest bad manners and the room was filled with cunts, folded my apron very calmly, took a bottle of JD and scarpered...

Went back to playing Marino kart for a living!!!

First one with a pay slip was at 16 between school and college, a Saturday job in a shoe shop. Started at the end of May. Went really well until August when I needed the following Saturday off to watch City, and each Saturday after until next May (pre Sky). I can still remember how gutted the Manager was telling me they'd have to let me go!

Builders laborer, started straight after I finished my GCSE's. Was on £20 a day, worked like mad and got a pay rise to £25 within 2 days! Got mega money of £30 for doing a Saturday morning! Those were the days.....

A compositor for local newspaper, first pay £15, started aged 16 (month after leaving school) and was there 5 years, made redundant on my 21st birthday

Fine, if you're all doing it, I'll do it too. My first 'proper' one was a bar job. Later found out two of my colleagues (both female before anyone starts) had a bet who could shag me first. Fucking weird.

The one who lost had me back at hers first, still ended up shagging the other before her. Unlucky shun.
