First away game, mine was leeds early to mid 80s,pretty sure mervyn day was in goal, every window on the bus smashed,on the way back to the station, leeds fans ran on the station ,some one pulled the e,cord nearly everyone piled off and chased the leeds fans off,and the e/cord got some hammer just on the outskirts of manchester with lads jumping off in places like ashton droylsden.

I don't remember which came first but it was either Wolves at Wembley in the final or Blackpool in a cup game.
The first away game that I went to without my Dad, was Leeds in the mid seventies. I was about 13, me and my mate told our parents that we were going to each others houses and got a few cans of Skol to take on the coach. We got seperated at the end of the game and was pretty lucky not get a kicking I guess. By the way, as a kid, I went to Wembly twice and still never saw City win. The second time was the Newcastle game and we didn't have tickets, my drunk Dad dragged me out of bed in the middle of the night and said come on, we're going to Wembley. Drove down, sat outside the ground and listened to the crowd and then went home.

First away was Stoke, a real eye opener that was ! city fans `took` their end before the game kicked off, and I mean took their end not just a few scuffles, the away end virtually emptied (our end) onto the pitch and ran full length of pitch and jumped in Stokes end because they did`nt want to miss any of the action, several minutes later as if someone had blown a whistle the man city fans came back onto the pitch and sauntered back to the Victoria end where we were standing like it was a sunday stroll. Bloody gob smacked I was, but not as much as the Stoke fans, makes me laugh when we hear about Stoke being a hoolie haven these days when I think back to that, mid 70`s was nuts and I would`nt want it like that now but it was fun when young and daft.....

spot on,as i said previous, cool cats in there heyday.

My first ever City game was Oldham away about 12 years ago. The first away game I can remember is Blackburn in the Cup 2007, not a great start to my away career.
