What's the difference between Cancelo's foul and TAA's 'challenge'?

TAA pushed him in the back, it wasn’t shoulder to shoulder, fucking clear as daylight.
We (arsenal) have had at least 3 identical incidents this season, I think saka twice and Jesus once. No pens given for any so at least they are consistent. Jesus was literally man handled to the floor in Southampton box.

Ironically an identical barge on a Chelsea player yesterday resulted in a freekick in their box so why it’s not a pen in the other box I don’t know.

The refereeing has been as poor as I can ever remember this year.

But kdb won an extremely generous penalty (giving you an extra 2 points) for a way softer ‘foul’ than any of those above incidents so it does even out I guess.

You will perhaps have to get used to Jesus not getting decisions he deserved - it had been happening at City for a while.
No mention of Akanji being knocked / pulled to the ground as he went to head towards goal. Bernado, De Bruyne and Ake appealed immediately and City played keep ball in their own half while appealing the decision and waiting for VAR which never came. No replays so only a wide angle view from behind available. Had a penalty been given then like Cancello a red card should have followed. Bernado shown yellow for his protests.

Darren England thought the on-field referee HADN'T made a clear and obvious error in not penalising TAA for the same kind of challenge HE awarded a penalty for and sent the player off only 24 hours earlier?

I know that will be the excuse from the PiGMOL sympathisers on SSN this morning but I'm not buying it.

It f*cking STINKS!!!
Well I think England was right it was one of those borderline ones that the ref probably got wrong but was not a clear and obvious error. Same with Kev's had it not been given VAR very unlikely to overturn the on-field decision.

Probably got wrong?

Definitely got wrong; clearly and obviously so. He missed/ignored the foul and signalled 'goal kick'.

Whatever happened to the… referee should stick to not giving minor fouls for the whole game, that was such a popular opinion a couple of weeks ago?

"Evening out" shouldn't come into it. Just give correct and sensible decisions in the first place. You are right though, refereeing in the PL is currently at an all time low.

I think Arsenal have been getting reffed like us & it’s due to style of play. They give the advantage to the teams parking the bus. They seem to interpret cynical fouls with 2 banks of 5 aren’t worth pulling up for but when these teams break there is so much space & more chance of 1:1 that these are yellows or reds.
