I think he is keeping his options open, all this, I am staying at Liverpool is a little different to what he said 2 or 3 weeks ago. While they have a chance of 4th he will say the right things, the key will be what happens if they fail.
For me he is going on about signing 4 or 5 players because he knows that is not going to happen, he will then produce a statment saying that Liverpool are unable to match his ambitions, opening the door for a move away.

if liverpool get champs league then he will stay....if they dont then he may well change his mind and want out...or he will be tempted out by a team that is in the champs league
