do they go into a recycle basket ?, I just delete mine no recycle basket needed(I think)The police can have it. I just need to clear some MB in storage.

I found it once by accident. Where is it so I can delete stuff?

that should take you into a volume being used by each individual chat
Click on the chat you want to delete
that will then take you to another page which will have
text /photos / GIFS etc
Click on manage at the bottom of the screen / then tick what you want to clear
click on clear at the bottom of the screen

Download something like ccleaner to keep things in order, there's 'one click' clearance of WhatsApp/internet cashe etc.
