When fast food becomes gourmet grub

There's no reason a McDonalds worker shouldn't be paid 30 grand a year with the amount of billions they make a year. Fair play to them.
We are all getting fucked over, all our wages need to go up. Don't attack the people at the bottom, the McDonalds workers, people need to get to their own bosses and demand a fair wage
My local branch is dreadful. They’re really slow, the tables are often dirty and they’ve got my order wrong more than once.

£30,000 salary for working a largely unskilled job? Mates worked there throughout college and the machines do everything.

I thought Jeremy Corbyn supported Arsenal.

Watch the film called “The Founder”.. I’ve not eaten a McDonalds since

That's not a new thing, the vinegar chippies use is technically called "non-brewed condiment" and it's been around for about 100 years

Vinegar genuinely took your breath away mate, vinegar first then salt. There was a definitive shift in the world of chippies to the insipid stuff.

It's no wonder that the country is fucked health wise when so many people are eating shite from McDonald's and other takeaways.
I remember when they were allowed to open when COVID was happening and there was a snake of about 200 cars on the retail carpark waiting to be served at the drive through . The mind boggles, I wouldn't feed it to my cat.

If all they've got to do is look gormless and say ' d'you want to go large....' where do I sign ??

I saw that McDonalds have changed their burgers and are implementing it now. Going to be using brioche buns and all that fancy shite, definitely just a ploy to try and make them look worth the price.
Last time I went to McDonalds was about 6 years ago, I was hungover and desperate. I could have eaten a rotting elephants arse at that point but I was still left disappointed

I don't see this obsession with bloody brioche, in my opinion as somebody who eats a lot of bread it is vastly inferior to just a regular sesame bun. I don't want my burger to have this kind of sweet pastry vibe.

You won't find me arguing against the merits of real vinegar - you're right, it is far superior. Just highlighting that many chippies have been using non-vinegar since the late 40s when it became sufficiently prevalent that they passed legislation on its advertising. The slow degradation has been in motion for a long time - I reckon it's likely that in my lifetime I've never gotten real vinegar from a chippy (not that my taste buds are cultured enough to know the difference :)).

That isn't how things work, if people can't afford the product the product gets cut. No profit in the business they'd move it to China if they could.

Wages for all going up means prices for all goes up, fist pumping your way to unemployment isn't a good look.
The corporations profit is obscene, and those profits are partly as a result of primarily employing a particular subset of the workforce.

They don’t even do that anymore do they? Aren’t orders done on touch screens these days?

Having said that, those employees should be paid far more, given what they have to deal with when schools close and Friday and Saturday nights.
