When Is The Club Going To Stop Selling Tickets In The Home End To Away Fans?

Just had an email from City about my daughters concession ticker for the game against Forest, how i must bring ID, what the actual fuck, what happened to the days of free upgrades for hard sell midweekers.
It goes out for every match to those on Senior Season Tickets. They never check. The queues would be unsustainable if they did.

Yes, it’s a standard email for all concessions. I get one every game for my junior tickets.

They clearly can’t even be arsed having a different template for different categories of concessions. As the junior ones state that a driving licence is fine.

This is what makes me laugh when people bang on here about getting lapsed blues to come back. Once you pack in the routine it’s gone forever.

Some good posts above about supporting City at Maine Road as kids. The buzz that got us all hooked. Very different for kids these days.

The simple fact is the people running the club have fucked up growing the club in this country. 4 in a row should see us sold out every game - we might be growing overseas but we have shrunk in the UK.

It’s a textbook example on how disengaging completely with the local supporters results in where we are now.

Shame on everybody involved - monumental fuck up.

shrunk in the UK? nahhh

Restricted newer fans or local fans coming to the games due to cost of tickets? YES sir

Good to see our new ticket compliance officer is busy getting to the crux of the biggest ticket problems.

No doubt he will be missing in action on Sunday when there will loads of complaints about how the fuck were there loads of non City supporters and even LFC fans in the away end at Anfield.

Like lots of these non-jobs, just a box ticking exercise in the main, catch a few innocent & easy targets, don't look at where we all know the real issue is etc.

Trouble is our view of what the real issue is isn't what the clubs is.

At the end of the day if he/she does fuck all else their appraisal will show the target of informing all concessional tickets holders to bring proof, just in case will be enough to satisfy a major objective on the job spec.

So £xx per year salary to improve fuck all basically but, as I say plenty of boxes ticked all round.

Maybe he should ask himself why staff members regardless of who they support can go into a ballot for away tickets. They can use them themselves or give them to whoever they want. Now let's hypothetically assume a dipper works for us but hasn't declared that as there is no reason to do so and enters the ballot for tomorrow's game and gets two tickets. As long as they behave themselves then the club will do nothing.

Some Serious trouble at West Ham. Arsenal fans/ tourists buying up lots of tickets and openly celebrating goals.

This is going to lead to something bad

Very nearly happened in 106 in the Arsenal game earlier this season when four Arsenal fans jumped up for their first goal.

It actually did happen in the Family Stand of all places in the same game, with reports of an Arsenal fan getting in the face of a City supporting kid when he celebrated so his Dad lamped the ****.

The tribal aspect of football hasn’t gone away it’s been very tightly policed. Sitting and celebrating in the home end shouldn’t even constitute an investigation. You run the gauntlet and if your caught expect to pay the price.

It’s quite literally one of the only things in English football we have that differs us from Europe that the home end is for home fans only. These YouTube clips etc don’t show these glory chasing fans this.

Just wait for that feral mob from today to come to ours if they are on for the title just like rats they get everywhere…
