Sterling seems affected by the Chelsea incident and the furore afterwards. I also wonder if it had an affect on the dressing room as a whole. Whilst I think we’ve not played well since the derby, the first half of the Chelsea game was decent.

Looking at things from a slightly different angle, our defending started to be a real concern at Watford away after they pulled back a late goal - we just went to pieces for the last few minutes and nearly conceded an equaliser. We've looked flaky at the back under any pressure in every game since.

It wasn’t only our defending that fell to pieces during that game, in the final minutes we stopped playing any football at all.

Our performances have deteriorated steadily for some 10 weeks now and last night was as poor as we have played in terms of being sound at the back and threatening up front all season in the league at least.

We have become very predictable again and not that difficult to play against similar to MP 's last 18 months in charge.
