can anyone remember a programme that was on dedicated to us when we got relegated to division 2. it was summet like a hour long special and it had a nice montage at the end with i think it was lous armstrong, i remember recording it and watching it over and over nearly crying (i was 13) seemed like a lifetime ago. well does anyone know where i could find this programme?? cheers

I remember it. Pretty sure Jackie (tits out) was interviewed on it outside the away end after the game. I recorded and probably still have it, but it's in my box full of vhs tapes in the loft. If you want to go through them all to find it you are welcome (there's quite a lot though).

It was called something like 'The day after'.... The montage you refer to is actually Otis Redding... I've been loving you too long

Bizarrely, I found that on an old VHS tape about 18 months ago and put it on DVD because the host was one of my tutors from university. I'm not sure it's still floating around, though...

There's this poor guy on it who said him and his lad were both massive blues.
His son had died in hospital and he still couldnt help looking up for city's score even after that.
He said through tears something like, "one day... ONE. DAY. City will win something again. And when they do that will be for my son".

When we won the cup I thought of him and those words.

That was "Man Utd ruined my life "
