When/why did you join Bluemoon?

I lose track of when the site was actually launched, the mind's not as sharp as it used to be (that's what years of the transfer forum do to you). It was either 2001 or 2002.

Currently working on the fifth incarnation of the site, which is taking a hell of a lot of time and effort (which is why I haven't posted much lately) but will hopefully be ready in time for the new season. It'll be a big relief when it's done, even though some people will say it's shit and can we switch back to the old site. As they did in 2004, 2007, and 2010!

Oct 2007 for me and this is my 118th post (prolific or what). Lurked for a year or so after finding this place after spending sometime on the supporters trust blog that the OP was involved in (it was linked from their website if I recall correctly).

I remember feeling more depressed about the state of our club in in Pearce's last season than I ever did in the days of the 3rd division (or any previous relegation seasons). I know not everyone was behind the supporters trust, but I was glad at least someone was trying to do something about it.

Funny how things turn out, could never in a million years have imagined this...

I'm guessing if your updating every 3 years (2004, 2007, 2010 and now 2013) that the site was launched in 2001. Just a guess mind.

Anyway, first came on here back in about July of 2007 or whenever it was. Owing to being brought up in the south, surrounded by friends who don't give two hoots about football my interest was very passive for a long time so going to Uni with lots of proper football fans, then doing a part-time job over summer where the staff all just spent all their time talking football was sensory overload. Think I first came on here because the possibility of a Ray Ranson take-over was worrying to me and wanted to see what the actual regular match-goers thought. Never signed up though (was scared of making a fool of myself) then after the 8-1 game I got so angry I didn't return for 6 months. Eventually I mellowed, and by the end of the season actually felt like I had something to say myself. So it took me 2 years to sign up but now here I am.

Not sure when, but one thing I am sure about is the absolute uniqueness of City fans in terms of our sense of humour and general outlook on life. Joining Bluemoon gave me the opportunity to engage and interact with fellow Blues regardless of where I was working in the world at the time.

So a good opportunity to say thanks to Ric, to the Mods new and old and to everyone who has contributed their own time in support of running this incredible little City oasis.

We had the internet ages before I joined but only for about a year or so. When the eldest lad started asking for it for school work, we bit the bullet and signed up in January 2010. I didn't really know what to do when I wasn't alone on the internet and just went on the official site all the time.

Bluemoon was the second result on MCFC searches and a mate had told me a Rangers & City fan I used to know had been asking if anyone knew me on here. I signed up believing there'd be so few members that I'd recognise him by his username. I thought fbloke stood for fat bloke and tried to strike up a conversation with him. He must've thought I was a lunatic.

Then the Adam Teese thread happened.......
