Each week, we produce a bonus podcast for those who back on Patreon. It's between 20 and 30 minutes of extras for $2 per month - which means it's 4-5 bonus shows for that money.

This week, it's a 35-minute bumper bonus about City's strangest moments... goalkeepers outfield, outfielders in goal, half-time red cards, angry managers, Delia Smith's rant and... when Martin Demichelis just handled the ball for no reason (and nobody said anything): https://www.patreon.com/posts/37886286

for me he lost it after the arsenal away game when mario got sent off. and city lost and the gap was 8 points and over or united thought it was over. he backed mario more than anybody in the squad ? mancini lost the dressing room that day and god only knows how we went on to win the league

Not signing RVP and getting Sinclair,Rodwell and Maicon.
Not sure if he was wanting the above 3 signings though.

Plus final against Wigan... :(

It didn't really go that wrong he just finished 2nd and got sacked as the club wanted a different style of play in preparation for a long term manager target who leaves next year.

The club did what it tends to do though, win a title and then under-invest the summer after.

I'm convinced one day it will come out why the players played so poorly in that match. It was as if they refused to play as a team. We should have walked that match and the only time we started to pass to each other was when we went one nil down and it was too late by then.

he was gone well before the that final matey ?

we was shit the season after winning the league and mancini lost all the power at both player levels and board levels. i still say the arsenal game when mario got sent off and we lost and the title looked over was his last straw. the players faces after that game even joe hart in the game pointing and shouting at mancini saying (that's your boy for you)

mancini lost the dressing room that day ? united lost the title more than city winning it and when your given a 2nd or 3rd chance you have to take it. even the last game vs QPR mancini was seen saying fuck you. fuck you.fuck you.fuck you. to the players after going down 2.1 ? i still don't know how or why the game turned on its head. the injury time seem to be played out in slow motion and 5 minutes was like 90 minutes and a game in itself

QPR were safe at 2-2 and, like everyone else, hate United enough to let us win the match. They could easily have time wasted but did not.

The following season Mancini failed every target given aside from qualifying for the Champions League again. His aggression and arrogance was his downfall. Galatasaray and Zenit St. Petersburg legend.

His prickly and combative personality did for him along with a decline in performance.

Great hair and scarf though and the greatest ever City moment under his belt along with combusting Ferguson's brain.
