Did Tevez say actually say:
"I didn't feel right to play, so I didn't"?
The BBC, gaurdian and lots of other sources have quoted Tevez saying it on a Sky post match interview.
I have looked on you tube but I cant find footage of him saying these words. Can anyone please help?

Carlos Tevez:

At The Stadium:

'I didn't feel right to play, so I didn't. I was top goalscorer here last season, I always act professionally so it is up to him.'

Via His Agent Wednesday:

'I would like to apologise to all Manchester City fans, with whom I have always had a strong relationship, for any misunderstanding that occurred in Munich.

'They understand that when I am on the pitch I have always given my best for the club. In Munich on Tuesday I had warmed up and was ready to play. This is not the right time to get into specific details as to why this did not happen. But I wish to state that I never refused to play.

'There was some confusion on the bench and I believe my position may have been misunderstood.

'Going forward I am ready to play when required and to fulfil my obligations.'

Sorry but what source are you getting these English words from?
I have listened again on youtube to the Sky clip of Tevez's interview, I cant speak Spanish. The clip starts with "I was professional". Has someone re-translated the actual words he spoke?
Thanks.

-- Fri Sep 30, 2011 2:41 pm --

A useful contribution. You know from the thread title what its about!
If he actually said these words it's pretty damning for him.

would like to see/hear the footage aswell. if he said those words then he doesn't have a leg to stand on and the other substitutes won't have to be grilled.

Zabby has been quoted as saying as much but I like you have yet to hear those words come from his mouth in Spanish or via a translation.

The little bugger is careful to point out he cannot speak much English but I know he understands the language a lot more than he lets on.

Before the arsenal match sky gave accurate subs to his after match interview.
So the earlier clips of Tevez speaking in Spanish post City match were put on again with English sub-titles before the Arsenal game?

I would like to see this, alternatively if any Spanish speaking City fan could translate the You tube clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRvaez1g-44
Many Thanks!

He had an interp standing beside him, was broadcast live and in HD
The interpreter was just a young lad from the squad. I have seen the clip its on Youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRvaez1g-44, but his English version doesnt match up with later BBC and Guardian quotes.

It would be ironic if the most damning evidence against Tevez was supplied by himself following instructions from Kia Joorbachian to do a quick interview!
