Where has all this awesomeness come from?

All down to the manager. Ultimately he is the one who takes the criticism when things are disappointing as they were last season, so equally when the team come out flying, look defensively organised, balanced, and hungry to attack and score goals, then that also is down to the manager.

Personally I think way too much was made of last season's disappointments, and too many players were written off too quickly. In particular Vinny and Yaya and to a lesser extent Mangala. Those three have shown their levels in the last few weeks, which lets face it aren't that dissimilar to the levels they showed at times last season too. There just wasn't the consistency of the last 9 games. If we can keep that up it's difficult to see anyone in the league living with us, and in the CL there's only maybe two or three sides that could handle us in full flight and at the top of our game.
Pellegrini has got pretty much everything spot on so far, and I couldn't be happier than to come on here and sing his praises. I'm actually excited at the prospect of this years Champs League campaign because playing like we are now we're capable of beating anyone. Happy days ahead.

Looks like the City Football Academy is paying dividends with the excellent start to the season as the squad now have arguably the best training facilities in the world of football.

It looks like all the squad have upped their game so far this season, but Silva has gone to another level.

It all emanates from Vincent
There is an auspicious aura surrounding him this season
Confidence ability and pride in battle
Our leader leading by example.

Silva is the word. He leaves you open mouthed at times. I think head wobbles all round is also a massive factor. We could have walked the league last season. If we have shaken the complacency and stop underestimating teams we could get an extra 9-12 points this season.

I think it's the new shape, and specifically playing Silva in the middle with two genuine wide players. last season he lined up on the left, and while in practice he could go anywhere, there wasn't necessarily anyone providing the width out on the left when he drifted inside. Now, with the wide players stretching the defence, and Dave and Yaya operating in the middle, the opposition can't cover everywhere at once.

Silva but sterling has been the catalyst of that.

The new and frightening partnership of aleks, sterling and silva on the left creates space for merlin to weave his magic. Mixing with the right side as well with inform Sagna and navas has made us dangerous both sides and down the centre. Long may it continue

I agree with most of this; I can't really say how much is down to the manager and how much is down to players themselves. They all deserve credit and the club deserve credit for backing Pellegrini, who is clearly handling things well.
