Which City Player Has Turned You Around?

Only signing I haven't rated recently is Phillips. So we'll see. He's a good player, just not sure he's good enough for top 1/CL winners.

John Stones for me, especially the last couple of seasons (when he’s fit)

I’d never heard of Rodri Dias or Akanji before we signed them but that would mean they I couldn’t have been disappointed to sign them if I’d never heard of them.

I actively disliked Cancelo in his first season and wouldn’t have been arsed if he’d walked out of the club at one point. But I think he’s mustard now… but again, this can’t count as I wasn’t disappointed when we signed him.

I wasn’t overly keen on the idea of signing Grealish at all to be honest. I never rated him. I always thought he was a diving floor punching moron who we made to look an idiot on a few occasions (especially the EFL Cup final) with young Phil clearly outshining him and Fernandinho and Rodri taking turns to kick him to wind him up.

But I do like him now. I think he seems like a nice (but dim, the poor sod!) lad and he’s given up with all the punching the floor when the ref doesn’t give him a free kick.

I also didn’t want to sign Sterling as I thought he was an overrated Scouse-loving-media hype job who just dribbled the ball out of play too much or tripped over the ball all the time.

And he turned out alright for us in the end.

No but seriously...Cancelo. When he first came I had a nagging feeling it was just a stop-gap and he'd move in a few years regardless (maybe because he'd already been at Valencia, Inter and Juve?) and then he had an indifferent start with whispers of being unhappy. Now he's really bought into the club, shows passion whenever we score and seems here for the long-run which is completely unexpected in my view. Love the bloke now.
