Which cup final was delayed due to soldiers spurs being left on the pitch ?

Ok. I have either dreamt this or it has been erased from history. I have a recollection of a Wembley cup final which had to be halted due to soldiers spurs having come off in the pre match festivities.
I wanted to know so I could include it in a pub quiz " in which year did spurs appear in a cup final but not Totenham?"
Did this happen or am I going mad?
Google has not been able to help.

I remember that
The marching band left the pitch, the game started and after about ten minutes the ref was called over to the touchline where he was told several soldiers had lost the spurs off their boots
The team captains were summoned who then instructed their team mates to go into their starting positions and look for them
A couple were found but not all

Without Googling, I can't remember which teams it was
