Which foreign teams do you have a soft spot for and why?

Valencia, used to go on family holidays near the city and loved their old stadium and frankly they are cooler than Real or Barca!
Ajax, been to quite a few games now and thought their team that won the European cup full of home grown players was awesome when I was young.
Sampdoria & Lazio, during the days seria a was on channel four and they had a few English players.

US Lecce - had a very good friend who supported them and he went back to Italy just before COVID struck. When they went up from Serie C I convinced him they would go up again....he didn't believe me....but I was right.

Nantes - when I was in sixth form there was a French language assistant and I brought him with me to the Europa League game v PSG in 08/09. Total nutcase and was focused on the PSG fans throughout who only seemed interested in fighting each other.

Torino for obvious reasons and I do try to follow what our sister clubs are up to, oh and Olympic Marseille because it’s the best old and new stadium I have been to, place is just as beautiful as it dangerous.

Sampdoria like you. I got the Subbuteo team and have always thought they have the best home kit in the world ever since.

Always liked Atletico Madrid because of an arcade game I used to play in the 80’s.

I like 1.FC Köln and Eintracht Frankfurt after going to see them thanks to a couple of our resident German fans on here.

I don’t watch any of their games often but like Boca Juniors and would dearly love to go to la Bombonera.

Believe me, watching those teams (at that time anyway) didn't make me feel remotely lucky. A couple did go on to have some success after I left but at the times I was there, they were pretty much all shit. Still go to Bohemians 1905 games when the virus allows and they're still shit.
