Which foreign teams do you have a soft spot for and why?

Aah right. Did you manage to get to any other grounds whilst you were living in Germany? My lad is fascinated by the idea of going to watch Leipzig at home. I must admit that experiencing the East of Germany intrigues me as well.
Afraid not, the boys in the Bundesliga thread are your best bet for tips on that.

Rangers as my mum is originally from Dumbarton/Alexandria.
NYCFC as they are now my nearest City group team.
Milan, because at school my Italian exchange student was from Bergamo and a keen fan of the Rossoneri.

Hansa Rostock - happened to be in Munich when they played Bayern in 91 first game of the season just after East and West German leagues merged. Went in with the away fans and Rostock won 2-1 - friendly guys despite looking like Status Quo's road crew. I was wearing the maroon City away kit and was filmed by a film crew for their cub video.

Honved - initially because of the Half Man Half Biscuit song. Was in Budapest a few years ago so went to see them. Freezing conditions, able to drink beer whilst watching and they won 3-2 with a goal in the final minute after coming from behind twice. The stadium has since been demolished.

St Etienne- I have a cool t-shirt
Nantes- used to go regularly. Never seen so many fit women going to the match.
Fc Sheriff- Coolest name and badge in Moldova

Levante Union Deportivo. I was holidaying in Valencia a few years ago and decided to book on a tour of the Mestalla, Valencia’s stadium. It was on the tour that the tour guide explained about the trophies and pennants on display in the trophy room. He pointed out a pennant from Levante UD and explained they were the ‘other’ team in Valencia and smugly added that they were only a small team. That was it. The next day I cycled over to the Ciutat de Valencia (Levante’s stadium) and bought myself a Levante t-shirt. I didn’t even know there was another team in Valencia but as soon as that tour guide mentioned them, I knew they were going to be my team forever.
Didnt we sell Felipe Caicedo to them?

Does anyone have the city/Torino history to hand? Always a fascinating read

Cheers big man, always fascinating to reas

RD Agueda from the Campeonata Portugal.
I was on holiday there and myself, son in law and grandson decided to watch them on a blistering Sunday evening.
A stadium of 10k had about 400 people in attendance.
We paid about 10 euros for the VIP experience. Best seats in the stand, a half time buffet and tour of the trophy/museum room. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Oh and they won 5-1.
They had one season in the top league playing the likes of Porto etc.
