Hi

Which is the latest available i-pod and will there be a newer model released before Christmas?

I've always stored my itunes stuff on a laptop, and have never owned an i-pod before.

However, I now realise that owning one would be a far more convenient (portable) way of storing my music, and am looking for some advice on which model to buy.

I've had a look on the the net and quite fancy the, 64 GB, i-pod touch, but would appreciate people's thoughts before I purchase.

If you just want to listen to music and nothing else then go for either the nano or the classic as both are cheaper than the touch

However if you are going to watch podcasts, YouTube videos or perhaps films then a touch is a better option even with its small screen

It all depends on the size of your video/music collection

I personally use my smartphone ever since my iPod Classic HD failed. At the moment I've got 10Gb of internal storage plus a 32Gb Micro SD card full of music and may replace the card with a 64gb Sandisk Micro SD card from Amazon for under £40. I use an app called iSyncr on the phone with the corresponding app on the PC which links to your iTunes database and makes it pretty simple to use.
