Which is the more desperate scenario?

Is it more difficult to overhaul an 8 point lead with 6 to go or a 12 point lead with 12 to go and why?

Just asking.

Both are very difficult. I didn't give us a chance last year and look what happened. I don't give us a chance this year but you never know. 12 from 12 is harder because we are playing shit and they are playing quite well.

You're mixing the scenario we faced last season and the one we face this season. Last season we did all we could to win the league, but United wouldn't fuck off. In the end they did what we're doing now and fucked it all up, and we capitalised. The way we're playing now, United could still fuck up but we won't be there to capitalise because we're playing shit and are not doing what is required of a team to A) defend it's title and B) catch the team in front of it.

The one we are in now.

Last season could be put down to nerves and bottling it. There is no excuse for being 12 points behind already.

We still have trips to Swansea and Everton to come so I cannot see us closing the gap at all

Is it more difficult to overhaul an 8 point lead with 6 to go without RVP or a 12 point lead with 12 to go with RVP (and with us looking shite), I have no doubts, likes of 4-4 v Everton would be 5-4 this season

You've already said this in another thread and the answer is the same. There isn't one point you make here that was not made in spades last April.

Well to be honest you made your actual thread in another one, i'm just answering it again for you, or is that not the point of your thread?

Its not about how hurt Fergie is, its about whether they can sustain the run they're on. I say they can't. Their squad is aging and punching above its weight.
I'm not saying they're in the box seat big style but I refuse to write the season off in February, given what happened last year.

Totally different scenarios which will ultimatly have totally different outcomes. 3 weeks people have been wheeling out the 8 point 6 games thing as the gap has grown and grown and grown. I can see with 6 games left "is 26 points over 6 games harder than 8 points over 6 games (please back up my delusion I cant believe its gone wrong)"
