To be honest it has all effect me.

It might have had an impact on my mental health along with other things going on in my life.

It got to the stage where I was constantly defending City, at work or other forums. I was getting really down with the press/media around our CAS case. It wasnt great. It seemed every day some new shit would be written/said about City.

Thankfully I have been sorted out by the doctor now. I feel full of life and loving life. I dont get bothered about the shit I just laugh and dont get involved.

OK its wasnt 100% anti City stuff getting me down as I was suffering from depression, but it certainly didnt help me.

Never, ever, let such trivial things get you down mate. Life's too short. Remember it's only a game and reassure yourself that any hate is only fuelled by jealousy.

The trouble is that no one in football is neutral, therefore Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd fans will all readily claim City are state owned cheats etc etc.
I don't mind their fans saying this quite as much as journalists and bloggers putting it in print.

One well chosen and well publicised libel claim shuts this argument down, dead.

I love reading the painful whines on RAWK. Of late the general theme seems to be that we are making it too difficult for them to win by simply not dropping points. They seem to be of the mindset that whatever the get as a total should be enough and if it isn't then they are the victim. I even noticed it on several outlets over the weekend claiming that draws away to Spurs and Chelsea would normally be considered good points but now City make it feel like you lost. Carragher, Souness, Owen and many others have all started the same nonsense that our performances are anti competitive and that Liverpool's deficit is purely down to City and not any failing of their own. Carragher even claimed that City make you feel as if the 'run in' starts as early as November. So in answer to your question, what they say speaks more about their pain than anything that pains me.
Every team only play City twice - so for 36 games, the ball is in their court as to how successful or otherwise they are..... which is actually the same scenario for us

I shouldn't let it bother me but the no history & no fans stuff really fucking irritates me

To be honest all the above has served to achieve is a siege mentality amongst us City fans, not to mention how knowledgeable on certain subjects we have become. The reason I joined this forum was to converse with fellow supporters, but mainly because of the absolute diatribe I was sick of hearing & reading in the main stream media, I have to say it’s been my absolute pleasure (mostly) to read through all the posts regarding our issues with CAS/FFP/uefa by some very intelligent thoughtful individuals (not to mention all the other issues etc) imagine a world where your main source of info was previously Sky/newspapers/internet & the odd whisper at matches!

I had someone on FB (a pal i might add) mocking the child abuse connection. Told him in no uncertain terms that if he is having to use that to score points then hes already lost

im very uncomfortable with it, reds using this as a term of abuse. You know the thing,
0 european cups
£1bm spent
6 paedos

find it very weird to be honest
Wait until Mendy is sentenced ....

Arsenal and Spurs have a cheek with the no fans part.
That's twice now against us they have not turned up.
City v them at the Etihad has never been close to having as many empty seats as there was on Saturday or the midweek game after the cup final when fans were allowed to attend.
Spurs are down to 40,000 odd as well.

Wait until Mendy is sentenced ....
I’ll see your Mendy and raise you a Giggs.

I’ve been affected by all of it in the past. Let’s be honest, our journey from many peoples second favourite team to vilification that Leeds United and Millwall could only dream of is complete.

It’s gone full circle for me from hating it to now enjoying the genuine pain every trophy inflicts on “them”. On Saturday I would normally have turned the sound off on that awful BT commentary, but now it nourishes my interest. Every time I get hacked off with VAR, UEFA / FIFA politics, a Super League scenario or a club policy that angers like the new admission process, I think of Pep and this squad of players boiling piss season in and season out.

That is why I went for nothing bothers me. There isn’t a club in the country without skeletons in the closet.
