Currently it’s the one about our massive squad seeing us through this COVID period. It’s literally smaller than all our rivals.

Empty stadium "Emptyhad" and "No 'istory" used to annoy me a bit - ignorant gits and all that but it was all a bit behind closed doors, but now its the "Biggest squad" that's the new lie being perpetrated and more and more out in the open by media and pundits. It's not so much the shite they say but the open way these people say it that annoys me.

I think in the last ten years our average has been slightly higher than the dippers, we actually had a higher average than the dippers in 2004 & 2005 which was before the takeover, sadly it will change this year because of stadium changes.
We’ll never have a fan base like the rags or dipper so it’s the least topic that bothers me. It’s quality not quantity that counts.

It doesn't exactly bother me me but I find the whole, "they're trying to create a rivalry with us" thing a bit baffling.
We already have a local rivalry and your attempt at trying to be relevant is making you look silly.

It's probably the myth about City boasting a bigger squad, which might have been true (or certainly nearer to the truth) in the Hughes/Mancini era, but has since seen been reduced to around 18 regulars plus youngsters and 3rd choice goalkeeper.
However, I suspect that United's latest defeat might tempt a few journalists into a more truthful comparison, especially as City don't have any unwanted peripheral squad members such a Lingard, Mata, Martial, Van De Beek, whose combined wage must be hemorrhaging their accounts.

Have a laugh and google:
Tell the truth T J. Did you eat the cupcakes?

It bothers me more from the media rather than fan wind ups. I started watching City in 84/85 season. I used to love buying 2 or 3 Sunday papers and reading about all clubs match reports etc. I actually enjoyed watching Liverpool and some great Arsenal sides and never once thought of excuses or reasons to belittle how well they played. So it really pisses me off that now its our turn in the limelight that everything is down to cheating or money. Although contrary to that I do believe genuine fans from other clubs would enjoy our level of play too. I guess what I am trying to say is that I no longer read newspapers or sports reports and watch most games with the sound off. It shouldnt be that way.
