I very rarely drink spirits but now it's coming up to Christmas, I have bought a bottle of 12 year old Jameson and a bottle of Glenlivet 12 year old malt.

Have I made a good choice?

I have the Glenlivet 12, it's poor.

Just got a bottle of Monkey Shoulder triple malt, yummy and a JD Silver Select.

Adberg, Chivas Regal and Jura would have been better options for you.

Don't know much about Whiskey, but 3 that i have liked are Dalwhinnie 15 year old, Caol Ila 12 year old and Macallan 10 year.

i cant get the palate for it. i like jd and coke.

im probably a philistine saying that.

Evening Aphex. I don't drink most spirits on their own and deffo not scotch - but next time you're out, try a Jamesons on it's own with no ice - magic

I might be tempted to try one now actually. Looks like we are well and truly snowed so that seems like a good excuse.
