Coming into the Tournament I was anti-Southgate and I still think there's much room for improvement in his management. But this Tournament was easily the best football played under him, we just outplayed France, granted was weird approach vs USA and battered everyone else. He dropped Mount to the bench, that's evidential progress from him. The man deserves another crack at the Euros.

We did though… we can’t help who we were drawn against.

We got only just got knocked out by arguably the strongest side in the tournament. Overall though we played pretty well in most of the games.

I quite like Southgate. He bonds the players well I think and they all respect him..........BUT..

I really feel we need a manager who has been successful in the past, won things, bigger experience etc.

Doesn't have to be full time either.

Iran, drew with USA and managed beat a poor Wales team..

Senegal in the round of 16 after a dodgy half an hour and then losing against the first half decent team we come up against yet again..

With the talent at our disposal, it's not good enough..!

It's funny because I have been critical of Southgate and don't really rate him as a manager - but thought he got the lineup and in game management mostly right, and truthfully England outplayed France. The French were just more clinical and Kane skied the pen.

Near enough the same end result as we've had at every tournament we've qualified for since I was a kid....easy qualification group, easy finals group, easy knockout game, hard knockout game..... home.

I'm sure a poster will be along to disagree but, that's what is the norm in my bounce.

Almost snuck something last night with 3 (three) forward thinking players but same end result.
