Some of you need to grow up more than Pennant.
It's a SportsBlog article, not a match report. It's an opinion piece specifically about Pennant who was their best outfield player by far (despite being a diving twat).

We saw him too, had to look twice though, as he wasn't falling over every other step!
To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by The Observer this morning - the Richard William's piece was one of 4 about the final, the other 3 being about us (including the "normal" match report).
The overall tone was miles more positive, including references to a lot of our player's humble beginnings in the game.
Amazing what a difference a trophy makes.
As Pennant was the only Stoke player that didn't look hopelessly overawed by the occasion, it's hardly surprising that the token "Stoke piece" focuses on him...
Perhaps the lesson is, it's still better to physically buy an actual newspaper, rather than just pick articles off the internet, without any context...!
