If a player is unwanted by a club , that is ,they want to sell him, then presumably the price is lower than a club desperate to keep hold of a player. Especially if that player has played 50% of games in the last 2 seasons .
80 million, a club record by 25% more ,doesn't smell of a bargain to me.

Except that Gundogan didn't have a bad injury record when we bought him, he took a season out to have surgery on a spinal problem he'd had since a kid (from memory). He's never had an issue since.i find it hard to believe we dont want veratti for his injury record when we signed gundogan who had a much worse one.
Edit: With his spine that is.
Can't get excited about Veratti. He's spent over 5 years playing in a poor league and when I've watched he doesn't appear to be an 80m player, especially with his injuries.
I do trust the judgement of the manager so if it does materialise then I'm sure Pep will turn him into a better player.
Can see him picking up quite a few suspensions playing for us if it happens.

A quick calculation puts him in the 1st team squad for around 68% of their Ligue 1 match's in the last 2 seasons, it's not that bad really.If a player is unwanted by a club , that is ,they want to sell him, then presumably the price is lower than a club desperate to keep hold of a player. I think they are desperate for Kante so want to raise funds however they can.

Yep agree with this. Technically good but never overly impressed when I have watched him.
