Obviously not surprised by your choice. But why?

Royle FA Cup.
Kendall League title and Eufa Cup.
Keegan oh so close to the league.

And Hughes.

firstly non of those managers did those things with city, as for hughes he got hold of our rancid club and cleaned it from top to bottom.
this BEFORE we were rich, would bobby come here without the readies? i doubt it.

OK fair enough. I should have read the question more closely. In terms of league performance I suppose Kendall and Reid.

In terms of entertainment Keegan and Horton, sometimes.

Hughes came here before we were super rich but only by a month. He then got to spend 200 million quid.

Would Mancini have taken the job without the readies? Probably not, although he hasn't spent much yet. He was a highly successful winning manager when he arrived at City. Hughes was a guy who'd done quite well at a mid table club.
Spot the difference.

Loved watching Brian Horton's team but KK's first season pissing Div 1 was the best football purely because of Ali B, it just showed what sort of a manager Peter Reid was when he asked Ali B to come back to Sunderland for a second trial !!! which is when KK nipped in, I believe :D

Horton had 2 seasons were we had relegation fights, after the 5-0 at united he tried to shut up shop a bit.

go back a bit more and it has to be john bond even though i hated the guy .so up his own arse

Hope I don't get slatered for this but I think it could be mancini - I can't think of another manager who spent as much time coaching as well as having a good tactical brain.

...just waiting for someone to say either Phill Neal or Steve Coppell!

for me kk. For stablising us and giving us something to work from

Sven.

Brought in an entire new team that gelled perfectly from the start. Too bad it fainted towards the end of the season. Sven will always be a welcome guest at City to me.

After that, Psycho. Apart from that horrible last 6 months. But its hard not to include King Kev, Royle, Hughes, Bobby... I'd maybe put Hughes infront of Psycho but I have some sentimental memories of him in charge.
